Chromesthesia is built to keep your data on your own device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in any of our apps.
This policy covers all Chromesthesia software:
Your songs, recordings, projects, videos, settings, and app data are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app or its data removes them permanently; we have no copy and cannot recover them.
For Cosmic Birth Chart Studio specifically: Birth charts are computed entirely on your iPhone, using astronomical tables and a list of cities that are built into the app itself. Nothing is looked up over the internet to draw a chart, and the app works with no connection at all. There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Every permission is optional and is requested at the moment you use the feature. All apps work without any permissions if needed.
The Immersive Arts Recorder runs entirely in your browser on your own computer. Your audio files, photos, videos, camera feeds, and recordings are processed locally and are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us. The app requires no account and works with no internet connection.
If you order a printed poster: Ordering a print is entirely optional and is the only part of the app that sends anything off your device. When you place an order, the app sends the edition, paper size and frame you chose, the caption line for your chart (the date, time, and city), and the finished print file itself. That print file is a picture of the poster, so it shows the name you typed along with the date, time, city and coordinates. This is sent to our order service, which is hosted on Cloudflare, and is passed to our printing partner, Prodigi, so they can print and post your poster. It is used for nothing else.
Payment and delivery: Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their own secure page, which opens in Safari outside the app. You give your name, email address, delivery address and card details directly to Stripe, and their privacy policy governs that. We never see or store your card details. Stripe passes us your name and delivery address so we can give them to the printing partner, who needs them to post the poster to you. Prints are currently posted within the United States only.
What we keep: For each order we keep a record of what was ordered, the caption line, the amount paid, whether it was paid, the delivery address, the printing partner's order number, and the print file. We keep these so we can fulfil the order, answer questions about it, deal with anything that goes wrong, and meet tax and accounting obligations. This information is never used for marketing, is never sold or rented, and is never shared with anyone beyond Stripe and the printing partner who between them take payment and post your poster.
Your choices: Email us at the address below to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Customers in the EU, UK and California have these rights by law, and we extend them to everyone. Order records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes.
Our apps contain no analytics, advertising, tracking, or advertising identifiers. We do not know who you are, what you create, or how you use the apps. The camera is not used by apps that don't require it, and the app contains no unused code.
This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. These set cookies and collect standard analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and referring site. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. You can block it with any ad or cookie blocker, or with your browser's Do Not Track setting.
Advertising: Some pages on this site display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com.
Checkout is handled entirely by Gumroad, Inc. When you buy, you provide your name, email address, and payment details directly to Gumroad, and their privacy policy governs that transaction. We never see or store your card details. We do receive your email address and order record from Gumroad so we can deliver the software, send update notices, and answer support questions. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with anyone.
Our apps are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13, because we do not collect data at all.
If a future version of any app ever introduces data collection, this policy will be updated and the change will be noted here before release.
